Do you want to draw more visitors to your site?

If you run a website you will understand how much us webmasters want hits, but how do you get them?

First and formostly "content is King", If your site is really well promoted and heaps of people are finding your site but you have nothing there, or what you have doesn't interest them then they are just going to leave. so make sure your site is worth comming to before you start. When thinking about what information to add, try to add something that you would want to find. For example when I added my PCHelp page my hits almost doubled, because it had information on it that heaps of people were searching for.

Having all this important and useful information is useless if you haven't submited your site to search engines. Here are some Websites that help you do this:

If you have a christian website your options grow to include all the christian search engines such as

www.christsites.com

www.crossdaily.com

Hint: you can search for search engines as well :)

Once again if you have a christian site you can sign up for voting "top sites" lists. click here for a list of ones jambe is signed up with. (vote for me) a simple search for "top christian sites" quickly came up with all of these and more :) with these there is a trade off between ranking and other people finding the "top sites site" but it doesn't hurt to sign up for lots.

Lastly (for the moment) get links to your site, good search engines, especially google, rate your site based on how many other sites are linking to yours, so get lots of links, call your friends, offer to swap links, etc, this is the best way to get traffic, if you would like a link on www.jambe.cjb.net please just email me.
